1945 Hyde

We designed a comprehensive communications package for 1945 Hyde Street, an exclusive mixed-use development project in San Francisco's Russian Hill neighborhood, led by the team of award-winning architects Ogrydziak /Prillinger, and developer John Parker Willis. A former 1920s parking garage, the building was still early in construction when we started developing the visual representations of what this building would become.

To visually capture the spirit of the space, we knew we must first understand its history.

Russian Hill is distinguished by its rich artistic, literary, and intellectual traditions, home to such varied individuals as Jack Kerouac, architect Willis Polk, and photographer Dorothea Lange. Take a look at our timeline of events and people that have helped shape the unique character of Russian Hill.

The logo was inspired by the angle the building anchors itself to Hyde Street, roughly a 20% incline.

The color palette was drawn from the patina of the walls, and the paper (French Construction) was chosen to amplify the textural surfaces of the building.
