Defined—and recognized—by their bold lines, Kerman Morris Architects is a San Francisco based firm that has made a name for itself in the booming Bay Area residential and mixed-use development sectors. It was time to capitalize on the hard work—and extend that reputation. At this pivotal point in their practice, Kerman Morris engaged us for a full brand refresh and website to elevate the visibility of their work.
Drawing first on the Bauhaus and Mackintosh movements that inspire Kerman Morris—then building a brand that is graphically and conceptually modern—we delivered a memorable package that will be used across signage, collateral, web and print. Thinking architecturally, we focused on application first: letting the lines of the mark we created extend or distend to fit various use-cases; then on material and process: choosing duo-toned paper and embossing to give dimension and structure to the card.
We created an online experience for Kerman Morris that presents a rich photographic overview of their portfolio in one swipe of the hand. We also built custom technical enhancements including a multi-level, responsive navigation that allows users to view projects by type, and easily navigate to specific projects.
